I have been coming up to Park falls, to this particular resort, for over 40 years.  I have seen it change hands a number of times, and not always for the best.  This last change of ownership was by far the best ever!  My two sisters, brother and I stayed there and had a wonderful time.  If your looking for a very comfortable, clean, well-managed resort in the Wisconsin Northwoods, then this is the PLACE!!

Words do not do justice for a place like Northern Pines Resort.  You can travel around the world and find yourself sitting right back out on the lounge deck (drink in hand) watching a peaceful sunset across beautiful Butternut Lake while mulling over which delicious entree to indulge in next, all after a long day of fishing, boating, throwing horseshoes, playing volleyball, riding ATVs, or simply relaxing at this tranquil, well-established, resort retreat.

Northern Pines Resort is our "home away from home"....Our vacation spot my entire life, my kids ranging from 18, 20, & 22 also love it and love to bring their friends.  They shared so many stories with teachers at their high school that they brought their families to see what this great place is all about....Love the NEW cabins!!

We have been going to Northern Pines Resort for over 50 yrs.  Our 3 daughters were all brought up there as babies.  They now have families of their own!  I believe every one of them consider Northern Pines a 2nd home to them and love it as much as we do.  As for our 8 grandchildren ranging from the ages of 4 - 24, they, too, were brought up as babies.  Everyone of us love it, especially now since they have these beautiful new cabins.  As for Doug & Patti, you could not ask for better owners.  They are very outgoing people and will do anything to make you comfortable.  As for the restaurant, the food is fabulous and the desserts are to die for.  It's no wonder the Johansen family continues to have their family reunion there; we also have a lot of friends from home that have joined us over the years.  It is a very special time for all of us and we look forward to it every year.  Who wouldn't with having Doug & Patti as owners!
